Voluntexas was first established under the name Coastal Bend Volunteer Connection in 2012. The dedicated founders saw a need for a centralized system that would connect volunteers with community needs and to provide volunteer management support at large community events.

Through our transition and rebranding in 2022 we have been able to expand into nonprofit management assistance to area nonprofit organizations, including education and training in volunteer outreach and engagement.

When you ask us what we do, we will tell you we are in the business of community engagement and believe civic duty is a job for one and all. There’s a saying that has been impressed upon us, living in the Coastal Bend; A rising tide lifts all boats. We believe a more engaged community has the potential to transform community by transforming our area nonprofits, enabling them to provide more services, and effect more positive change at the individual levels.

Our work is made possible due to our history of strong collaborative partnerships. We strive to keep a close relationship with our 100+ Agency Partners in order to build a culture of service throughout the Coastal Bend. Beyond that, we strive to develop the next generation of leaders through our partnerships with area schools, as well as through service and leadership programming specifically geared towards youth and young professionals.

We are committed to developing high performing teams in all areas of our community, whether for profit, nonprofit, or otherwise. We also work to obtain and sustain partnerships with local organizations and businesses in an effort to help the entire community flourish. We are an established United States Presidential Volunteer Service Award registered entity enabling us to recognize significant volunteer contributions. In 2023, the Voluntexas provided services to over 30,000 people across the Coastal Bend.
